This isn’t a hidden gem by any means, but I like to have places like this on hand when someone requests a certain type of hang, so I wanted to share what boxes this spot ticks for me. I file HL Highland Park under the following categories: best outdoor area for food & drink, best spot to get coffee as well as wine, immaculate vibes inside and out, great spot for golden hour hangouts, actually good coffee/baristas, and satisfies cravings for a SoCal atmosphere. Take heed of the downsides: it’s spency, the food is good, not great, the line can be long depending on what time you get there, no outlets, some people could be repelled by its trendiness.
